What does learning forex trading in your spare time entail?
It’s an interesting statement to make, saying that one trades part-time. It means different things to different people. Well there’s automated trading, where the user only may only need to check parameters an certain intervals. That could be part-time trading. It might also refer to a style of trading where the trader only looks at his trading strategy every evening, or perhaps even less. One more common interpretation of this might be someone who is perhaps in full-time employment, and looks into learning forex trading during his or her quiet or private time; maybe when they are done with work.
I have to admit, this is not what I thought trading would be. I used to run a website Design company when I was still studying at University. It was during one of my projects that I was first exposed to the world of investments. The project involved building an online chat room and site for a Stock Trader/Trainer to communicate with his students during the Trading day. He did his trading at home in a big room he had set up specifically for that. He had large display screens with all kinds of feeds and information. I was blown away. I thought only banks got that kind of information. I could feel the energy in the room. I almost felt like I was on the Trading floor.
He had a formula he used for Technical Analysis, and he asked us to spend a day trying to program his own formula into the software he was using. We failed to do this successfully in the one day we had, as we didn’t really understand the concepts properly, and the website was more important to him at the time. Still, I knew I would be returning to that world. The possibilities seemed endless. Programming my own formula…I knew I was going to be rich.
So it boiled down to that for me. Easy money. I could use the programming ability I already had and apply it trading so I wouldn’t have to do much work. That way, I could do other things while my money was working for me. Needless to say, once I began forex trading I learnt the hard way that the notion of easy money in the markets is a bit naive. You do have to put in some effort.. Now, I achieve the goals I had wanted previously, without having to invest a large amount of effort or time.
The point is we all come to the markets hoping to make money investing as little effort and time as possible. This is achievable, once some simple concepts are understood and applied. Anyone can do this. The ability to do this has gotten more accessible because there is a wealth of information now available that wasn’t previously; certainly not the every people. Now all that can be gotten at the click of a mouse.
The other option is to follow a professional trader and trade according to their rules, or maybe get someone’s system and use that. Neither of these is not really advisable if you’re a complete newbie, not unless it comes with some training. I think once you’ve got a little bit of knowledge, you can follow one of these guys. It will be possible for you to understand the reasons for the moves they make, and you can make an informed decision whether to follow or not.
Once you have that understanding you can trade when you choose to, whether you want to do it full-time or part-time.
Anyone can learn forex trading online.
